FCP – Public Meetings

FCP holds three Public Meetings per year in February, June and October – one Annual General Meeting (AGM) plus two Members meetings. These meetings are attended by Castle Ward Councillors, local police officers, city wardens, University of Leicester and Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth I College, plus we normally invite a guest speaker to give us a first-hand briefing on a current local issue. While these meetings are intended for our members, non-members are welcome to attend and will be offered an opportunity to join FCP at the meeting.

Public Meetings are scheduled 12 months in advance and held in venues local to Clarendon Park. Agendas are circulated in advance of public meetings, we welcome members’ suggestions for agenda items, and aim to circulate the minutes to members and other attendees within three weeks of the meeting.

FCP – Committee Meetings

In order to progress FCP matters in between the public meetings we also hold six Committee Meetings per year in January, March, May, July, September and November.

Committee Meetings are scheduled 6 months in advance, with agendas and minutes circulated to committee members.

LCC – Ward Meetings

Leicester City Council (LCC) Ward Councillors hold three Ward Community Meetings per year. Clarendon Park spans Castle Ward and Knighton Ward, so we attend both Castle Community Meetings and Knighton Community Meetings.

UoL – Liaison Meetings

In addition to its physical presence, the staff and students of the University of Leicester (UoL) have a significant impact on Clarendon Park as well as the wider area. In recognition of this, UoL holds three Community Liaison Group meetings per year in January, May and September. A committee member attends these meetings alongside representatives from a number of other local community groups.

Other Meetings

Committee members attend other meetings if and when they include agenda items that are relevant to Clarendon Park. From time to time these include the following meetings of Leicester City Council:

• Licensing (Hearings) Sub-Committee

CP – Community Events

From time to time FCP takes a stall at the Clarendon Park Fairs. The Summer Fair is held on Father’s Day  and the Christmas Fair is held on the first Sunday in December.
