Who can be a member?
The short answer is anyone – whether you live, work, shop, drink or eat in Clarendon Park, have friends or relatives in the area, occasionally pass through or have fond memories of spending time here, you’re very welcome to join us.
Full membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 years, while Associate membership is open to those under 18, the only real difference being Full members get to vote at AGMs.
What are the benefits of being a member?
We hold a number of regular meetings:
- Three Members Meetings a year, one of which is also our AGM.
- Six Committee Meetings a year, for the committee to progress FCP matters between Members Meetings.
We’ll also arrange ad hoc meetings to address local issues as and when they arise (for example: the Tesco campaign, Permit Parking, Freemens Common Student Village).
How much does it cost?
We’re not-for-profit, so we’ve set our annual membership fee at £5.00 per person. This is as low as we can manage while covering the cost of hiring rooms for meetings, holding public liability insurance, producing printed materials (leaflet, posters, etc.), subscribing to essential IT systems and hiring stalls at Clarendon Park’s fantastic Summer and Christmas Fairs.
